Joe,

There have been a couple of in-depth threads about "What to bring to pick up a new trailer far away" in the recent past, with some good considerations and lists of tools. Here is a link to a good one:

Congrats on your new Trillium!

Raya

PS: All the Trilliums I've seen have had a 1-7/8" ball, but of course it can't hurt to bring a 2" one as well.
Hi Raya,
Thanks for the information. This is a great resource. I think I am safe with the 1-7/8 ball and I will bring a 2" ball as you suggest, just in case.
Joe

I have thought of the flatbed idea but again cost is an issue.
If you have a vehicle capable of towing a flat bed auto transport. Uhaul want about $50 a day + taxes etc. A small price to pay for a piece of mind when it comes to safety.
No need to worry about cracked frames, broken studs, seized bearings or bent axles.

Princess Auto has a set of towing lights on sale for $70
