Lol, Tom! Perfect explanation! .... I've been wondering what the motivation would be for this lovely combo. I will sleep better tonight knowing it wasn't personal ...

Bob ... k0wtz ... no, I've not undertaken the task yet.

I am leaning away from it a bit due to the grand task at hand. If I was retired, I might think about getting into it a little harder, since time and effort would be less of an issue. I am afraid that a year into it, I'd be second guessing my decision. This type of project is supposed to be fun, and I am not feeling the good feels about digging into it as much as I should. Trying to keep in touch with my intuition ...

At one time Scamp sold a kit as a DIY trailer. Perhaps this was one of those that the owner decided to NOT finish the inside or put the windows in...

Donna - thank you! Very interesting info on the potential genealogy of this little guy. It sure does not appear from the interior Ensolite that there's ever been any cabinetry attached to the walls. Would love to have the rest of that 'kit' to pair with the bones on this one!

You can get the rest of the "kit" if you decide to finish it out like a standard Scamp. All of the pieces are still available from Scamp. Easiest way might be to drive to the factory and pick them up. Shipping that many bulky parts could be cost prohibitive.

parts

jon it shouldn't be I like Scamp but I think they are greedy on their parts shipping. you might try Amazon free freight you know!

in my previous business I would charge for the box no upcharge on ups items. I made it work for 35 years competing against the billion dollar a year boys or in Syco s case 7 billion.

It just pays to be honest in all dealings marking up a customers freight is one of them to me!!

I ordered a futon off Amazon it weighed 40lbs came in a huge box all ups paid by the way!

UPS does have upcharges for oversize but there is still no excuse to me!

"Ready to hitch up and go in 60 hours," says the caption. Scamp has clearly never met me!
