Hi...Recently purchased a 1975 Trillium 1300. We are complete novices as far as travel trailers are concerned.

The biggest problem seems to be replacing a city water faucet and hose. What is the best approach to getting under the sink? Lift the sink? Lift the cook top? Hire a leprechaun to fix it from under the seat?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

John; if your Trillium has the furnace mounted under the sink, you might look at removing the cooktop or the furnace to work under there, but use caution, they are both connected to the gas line.

Your suggestion of the leprechaun might work if you could send him up from under the seat, sorry, I liked that suggestion

Easiest way is to pull the STOVE, less work!! I just changed mine out this spring!

While in there change off any waterpipes(use ONLY the kind of tubing designed for potable water), fittings (elbows/connections) and hose clamps!

Hi Doug...I know John lifted the stovetop at some point. I believe he had a problem with that.

I'll tell him about your post and let you know what happens.

Thanks so much for your input.

Charlie...Have any idea where we might find a Leprechaun? I suppose we should visit Ireland, where I would love to visit...don't have the means.

Thanks so much for replying.

I NEVER said this was going to be an EASY "do" ....I have hands/arms like ham hocks and I managed to access the tap through the hole where the stove was. If you try n pull the sink, you're probably going to break one of those undercounter screw type anchoring devices... NOT TO MENTION to reach at least ONE of the four, you are going to have to remove that furnace anyway. Re an re of the stove requires only a minimum of effort and yes, you DO have to remove the gas line . You must remember to be sure the propane valve is shut off first and before you re-install the gas line to the stove, REMEMBER to wrap the male end with gas fitters tape (similar to plumbers tape) and be sure to do a SOAP test of the joint too check for leaks. Sounds kinda daunting, but REALLY, its not!!

Doug: John finally fixed the potable water pump...next will be the city water tap, keeping in mind your cautions about the gas line. Thanks again.
