I am finding one battery is not much power when boondocking. I like the quiet of running like the old WWII submarines on battery power, but with one its not silent for long, then I have to start up the generator. My dog house on the front of the BigFoot trailer doesn't look like it has room for a second battery and I am wondering about other mods people have made to fit a second one in where there is adequate ventilation.

I know a solar hookup on the roof would be a good addition, but I didn't opt for the expense this year. Maybe next time.

I carry an "emergency" second battery in the trailer and charge it by different methods (Outside the rig, of course) when it is convenient. When battery #1 gets low (Which is rare with my solar set up) I swap them out and charge #1 while using the second.. or go home and charge if my trip isn't a long one..

No need to have two permanently installed.. for me, anyway.

I have always been impressed with Bill Abbay's Bigfoot Modifications.
