Propane Lines

On our 13' Scamp, the PO's took out all utilities and patched ALL the outside holds...so, as we continue on our rehab, we need to reestablish the propane line. We have seen on some trailers that there is a metal plate with a connector that goes through the front bulkhead instead of slipping under the shell and up through the floor... BUT the pictures are taken from a distance...

Is that an option? I assume that the fitting is some sort of brass fitting with copper lines (with flared connections on the inside) and the propane bottle (flexible line) on the outside.

Does anyone have any photos of what that kind of configuration looks like?

Where does one get the connector and what is it called?

Thanks for all the advice!

I had the same issue finding the fitting. Scamp sells the fitting but you have to call the parts dept. I think it was just over $10 a couple of years ago. It comes with a nut, washer and gasket. I recommend replacing the washer and nut with stainless hardware. I think it is called a bulkhead fitting. Scamp also sells the rest of the outside propane stuff you need. With scamp shipping, get a list of everything you need for a combined order.

Note: I ordered everything for a single tank set up. They sent two tank to regulator hoses. They needed to only send one of those hoses and they did not send the bulkhead to regulator hose.
The regulator comes with a mounting bracket but Scamp uses a differnt bracket so make sure you order the Scamp frame to regulator mounting bracket.

Thanks! I was planning to give them a call anyway and ordering some other parts...we'll just make it a combo deal!
