Protect cover from SHARP awning rail ends???

What's the best way to protect the cover from SHARP awning rail ends? Also the sharp lower edge of the drip cap above the door? While we were renovating the Boler 17, we just covered all sharp edges with duct tape and padding. Now we want to start using the camper, so we need removable caps or something. How do you address this??

OK maybe I'll figure out a way to secure old tennis balls or chunks of polyurethane foam over the sharp ends of the awning rail using screws/nuts/washers.

For the aluminum drip cap over the door, maybe I'll try using some trim-lok edge guard.

Thoughts??

I bought a couple of Fleetwood drip rail end cap gutter spouts that fit into my awning rail. They cause runoff to drain away from the side of the trailer and are removable.

Thanks Alexander. I am thinking I might just jamb a wood dowel into the end of the awning rail leaving 2-3" of the dowel sticking out the end, then wrap with foam. I will post whatever I do ...
