I see this post is several years old now, but it applies to me right now! I bought a 1979
Trillium that did not have the front bunk anymore, but I do see signs that it did exist. I have already sourced and cut the foam (thanks to a neighbour that was getting rid of two twin foam matresses! Score that saved me $130!)
I saw the notched out plywood for the upper bunk in a previous post and I am curious why the part closest to the hitch are notched? Does the bottom matress not follow the same curve as the upper?
