Reinforcing Frame

Hi all,
I am in the end stages of a full refurb of a 1970 Campster.
I wasn't able to do a full body off refurb but have started to get worried with all the stories of cracked frames etc.

I was wondering what peoples thoughts are on reinforcing the frame as it stands. Running angle iron the length of the trailer under the main beams and having it welded to each crossbar.

Is this my being overly nervous, or would this be prudent to strengthen the frame before something happens?

Take the body off and have a welder inspect and repair/reinforce.

Carefully inspect for rust and cracks and if found then repair.
Look at the areas where there are bend in the frame as the metal has already been stretched there.
