Like everyone else I had several wasp nest in the pipe. I think when I reinstall it I may put metal screening over the vent cap. This will stop insects from getting in.

I can take this in tomorrow and get it serviced. Thanks for all the help and info to help me get this out.

Don, Great pictures! I like your approach to removing the furnace much more then mine. I suspect that putting it back in might be kinda difficult though. It would probably help to remove the fridge so that you can get to the vent when you are re-installing it.

I think it will slide back in pretty easy. It is always easier before you actually do it.

Since it is out I am going to look at replacing all the little cover for the water hook ups and power. They are pretty brittle and this gives me full access to them.

Well I got my heater into Panda Propane today. I learnt it is a gravity fed heater and not a furnace. They no longer make these. You can't find parts for them and everyone is looking for parts. Mine looks in good shape so hopefully it just needs a good cleaning. Guess I will find out in a week. Fingers crossed.

One of the lesser known features of this forum is the ability to find out the last time a user has been on.

Using this feature I see that Don's last visit is listed as Last Activity: 07-19-2018 09:31 PM

About 15 months ago.. So don't be surprised if you dont get a reply from him in this forum thread.
However if you send him a private message (PM), then there is a greater chance he will see it. Often a PM triggers an email to the user (if settings are so set). Ask if you need guidance on how to send a PM.
