Removing green slime from exterior

Hello, I'm not sure where to start with over 500 search results for “green”, so I'll just ask y'all what works best to remove green algae like slime from the exterior of the trailer and keep it from returning.

Any product ideas that are easy on the environment or suggestions to keep this stuff in check would be welcome.

Thanks for your assistance

Robin

My Scamp19er cleans of well a good wash with good grade of car wash and wax liquid. I wax it and it still needs a redue each spring. Keeping it under cover is the best solution

I use a mixture of Clorix and water, put it in a plant sprayer and after it sets long enough to remove the green stuff, I wash it using a wash and wax solution (Turtle wax makes a solution). The unit comes out looking like I waxed it the elbow grease way.

Thank you Darwin. What mix ratio do you use? 10/90 or stronger? No concern with weakening the caulking or stitching on any exterior fabric using Clorox?

Try your 10/90 first (Small batch) and if it does not do the trick, increase the mixture. Be sure to wash it off with running water B 4 you do the wash and wax.

Do not use a Power Washer because the Power Washer will remove calking and get water through the smallest opening. (Found this out first hand)

Bar Keepers Friend, 30 Second Outdoor Cleaner, etc., etc. Many things have been used. None will keep it from coming back except to cover the trailer when not in use. A really good wax job will slow it down and make it easier to get rid of it the next time.
