Art, I think you will find they are riveted on, you will have to drill out the two rivets in each light, and when you put new ones back in, re-rivet.
be very careful if you have to pull down the roof liner, it tends to leave th foam backing stuck to the trailer, and dosen't re-glue very well.
use a 1/4 inch or thereabouts bit to drill the head of the rivet of in the light fixture base, then remove the tail of the rivet from inside the trailer

Joe, Do I have to re-rivet them on or can I just re install them with stainless screws and nuts, the reason i am removing them is because they are leaking water into the trailer, there must be some kind of gasket between the lights and the fiberglass (cannot tell due to all the silicone on them). can I make these gaskets myself out of rubber?

Question Picture please

I don't know what you are talking about. Inside lights or outside lights. Trilliums didn't come with lights on the top back I don't think. So maybe you have a mod by a PO.

Roger, Art has a 5500 and I think that model DID come with 2" (or so) round lights on the top rear right from the factory.

My 5500 has 5 lights across the top rear outside, 1 on each outer corner, and 3 centered above the rear window. Mine are the standard oval type lights typical for markers in the 70/80 era.
I do not think mine ever had a gasket, just a bit of putty tape around the hole for the wiring.
I think rivets were used because they don't work loose like a nut and bolt might.

Okay. I stand corrected. Didn't know 5500's were that wide!

I hope he means replacing not removing. If the trailer is 80" wide or wider, 5 lights are required:
