Repairing my "76" Scamp

Hi I am working on my Scamp trying to repair & undo the previous owners work. I put in A new power converter & moved the battery out on the hitch (like the new ones have) but I was not sure what size wire to use from the battery back to the converter? is 20 gage good ?
Thank you Jim

20 guage is way to light. Depending on the current that you are drawing, 12 or even 10 would be a much better choice
