I need to replace the crank that's to the escape hatch? Is this hard to do..?? The pin broke out so now it wont crank up or down? I have ordered a new one.

Christi, it sounds like you still have the handle in one piece and if thats true you only need to replace is the pin. temporarily see if you can replace the pin with a small bolt to see if everything still works, if it does go to the hardware store and buy the right size roll pin or some call it a spring pin. If you bring the handle with you they can tell you what size will fit it. It should fit tight. Good luck, Bill

PS let me change that word "tight" to snug

The pin is made to shear off so the vent crank won't strip by being overtightened. Bill gave you good advice.
