Replacing Plexiglass Back Window with 1/2 Slider

Hello - just curious if anyone has ever replaced a plexiglass back window with a glass slider window on an older Scamp?

I have a 1990 13ft Scamp - and I talked to the folks at Scamp today and they told me that even though my back window looks flat - it isn't and that is why they used plexiglass. They said if I put a slider window in it would more than likely leak.

I am going to adhere to their advice - but was just curious if anyone ever did this and what your experience was.

Thanks!
Gayle

The only practical way, with what's available today would be to cut the center from the window and install a crankout in the middle.

Honestly, we have owned both types and find that the side windows provide plenty of ventilation and the back window provides a good view.

My 1987 13 foot Scamp has Hehr rear and side sliders. Front window is a single pane of plexi due to the curve.

Hi Steve - is your window an original window - or did you do the replacement?

I purchased my trailer used but I believe the windows are origional except the one in the door. Side sliders show no sign of corner filling and there is no sign of a gaskit line in the back window.
