Has anyone got leads on where to purchase a new one?

Do a google search for "plastic water tank for RV". You will find plenty of options.

Erika, I can see that you have a large amount of mold in your tank. Is that why you are replacing it? Does it leak?
You may be better off installing a deck fitting, for cleaning. Finding a new tank that is the correct dimensions will be difficult or expensive, or both.

What are the dimensions? Makes searching for one much easier.

Hello David, no known leaks... the mould and chemical smell has us thinking a new tank would be best ... but I'm thinking that cleaning will be the more economical option.

I searched on google "fresh water rv tank" and I think I got mine from US plastics. It was a couple of hundred, and about 50 to ship.

If cleaning (mainly bleach) doesn't get it all, I've seen an ingenious (and much less expensive - around $40) alternative to buying a new tank - installing inspection ports so you can actually get inside to scrub the tank. I think water tanks should come this way from the factory, but of course that would make them more expensive than they already are. Here's a link on how it's done:

Erika, I agree with getting a deck plate and they're cheap. I installed a 4" one on mine (sealed with 3M 5200) that allows me to reach the total interior. I'd cut the hole and do all the cleaning before installing the deck plate for a bit more arm clearance.

I once found on a site called "Polymer Plastics" (I think this was the site) and if I had saved it from my older computer I would send the link but do a search for that and it should come up. They had all size tanks.

I have also cleaned the inside of tanks using bleach. One tank was in same condition as yours and I had it out so I rinsed as good as one can, Put 3 gal. of 50% beach/water and laid it in sun for a day.
It was amazing how clean it got just from the fumes but I turned it once in awhile.
Rinse and you still got a bleach taste but I am sure all bad, living, stuff was dead.
