Rock guard options?

Hello everyone, you guys have done some amazing mods!

We are looking for a simple and effective option for rock guarding the entire lower front of our 21' Bigfoot. It will likely see a fair amount of gravel road, and we're thinking the best option would be covering the bottom front with maybe some type of rubber or something. We don't think the spray-on guarding would be tough enough - it didn't seem to work for the last owner of our trailer!

I use Rock Tamer from Costco . No rock chips yet.

Just applied three coats of truck liner black spray-on from an aerosol can (Canadian Tire). Covers lower eight inches of front. I patched an "almost through" stone gouge with fiberglass & resin, sanded, Bondo'd and sprayed. Heading out for three weeks of interstates, 401, and mountain roads. Time will tell...but it looks good!

Tough not cheap to have done, one of the best spray on products out there is Line-X. LINK
A local dealer who sold Bigfoot used this on all their units that they got. It dries fast and hard, and works great. It is not rubbery like some brands. It can be colour matched too. This is what I plan to do once I can spare the money.

Dave,

Have you put the Durabak on yet? If so, how do you like it and how long have you had it on? I ask because I know of a few people who have used Durabak for non-skid on boat decks, and although it held up well and was non-skid, they noted that it was rather hard to keep clean. I suppose it wouldn't matter if you were (or did) using black or a dark color; but it might be a consideration for a lighter color.

I haven't tried it myself, though, so that information is second hand.

Brady and Jenny used Durabak on the entire outside of their trailer... check out the red!

I went to a local signeage/graphic shop and got them to put on that 3M rockguard on the whole frontside (lower half) of my Bigfoot. It tints the fiberglass slightly but looks great and works awesome. I do most of my camping in the winter and has worked so far. I think cost around $150.00
