rock guard support needed

Need help to figure out a way to keep the rock guard on our Scamp up-so it will act as an awning.
I called Scamp and they told me they never had any poles or any setup for holding the guard up.
Anyone out there have any ideas or pictures of what you have done.
Thanks

tent poles

Good idea-how do you attach them to the rock guard and keep the wind from blowing them from the guard.
I have several ideas but most dont look to attractive.
Thanks

I have made and used the ones like Carol has (and added a link) for a number of years now. I didn't put caps on the PVC, so there's a hole for a small flag pole, solar light (that's on a stake for the yard), etc. More importantly, they've never blown down, even in pretty strong winds. During travel, the poles are just stored under the toe board in the kitchen area. Easy, peasy.

well,,, i did use a hair scrunchy to hold it to the gaurd,, and my awning opening pole set on top of the propane tank ,, but plan on something nicer it is nice to block the sun ,,, but i have been lucky in picking the dirrection i park.
though i did learn to park facing the sunrise,,,, afternoon sun is hot and pokes right in under the awning.
