I'd do a search on AC but the search engine won't accept two-letter words. I'm interested in whether people have found various brands of small room AC's reliable. For example, Target has a Haier on sale- anyone tried that?

Bobbie,
We bought a 5000 BTU Haier 3 years ago and installed it in our 13' Scamp. It works very well and we haven't had any problems with it at all. I would recommend it.

Bobbie.....
I purchased a Frigidaire 8000 btu ac from Lowes for my house bedroom and it was extremely nice and cold but the low setting on the fan did not slow it down enough and it was too noisy for me while sleeping so i brought it back to Lowes then went to Home depot and purchased a LG 8000 btu ac and that ac is extremely quiet in the low setting and works great for me..... the med and hi setting on the LG where the same noise level as the frigidaire...
I used the 15000 btu ac frigidaire for the rest of my house as it's really cold and the higher noise doesn't bother me there.........all units where very cold
