rope and pole awning

Does anyone have a pattern for a rope and pole awning for a 13" Scamp?

How does it work? I've heard the expression but don't know what it's referring to.

I'd like to make one.

Thanks!

Your tarp or awning material is sewn around a "rope" on one side. That is then slid into a C channel ment for awnings. The other end is held up by poles inserted through grommets. Much like the old tent doors of days gone bye.

No pattern needed other than knowing how big you want your awning to be.
Here is a good site for ideas: Marti's Vintage Trailer Awnings

Thanks Roy!

I think this may be one of those things I need to see in order to "get it".

Take a look at this FGRV entry. Ed and Pat made a beautiful red and white striped canopy and give you the instructions. http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...amp-50564.html
