Running Light Cover for a '13 1976 Scamp

O.k. gang, I'm such a Babe in the Woods here that I'm not even sure the danged thing is called a running light. But, I have a 1976 13 foot Scamp that I purchased last year. I finally got a trailer hitch installed on my '09 Honda Element EX and I'm getting the Scamp out of storage Friday...Yippee...

On each side of the trailer there are 2 orange, oval plastic covered lights. One is cracked and soon to completely disintegrate and fall off...

Any ideas on where I can get a replacement? Would the Scamp factory be able to hook me up? (I'm assuming the newer Scamps have a different style of light)...

Thanks so much. This forum is filled with such incredibly knowledgable (and patient) people and I appreciate the guidance!

Jon

I would try the auto parts stores and RV parts.

Take an old lens with you.

Go to the nearest truck stop, the T/A across the river.

You could order new ones from the Scamp on line store or you could as others suggest be able to pick one up from most auto parts or RV shops.

Hi Jon! Welcome!!

We're here in Omaha, too! A.C. Nelson's RV place has stuff like that in their parts department.

We have an 04 Honda Element and 2010 Honda Ridgeline. Hope to meet you sometime!

Vickie

My local O'Reilly's (old Schucks) carries the same size LED replacement... which includes the cover for almost the same price as the replacement cover alone. Something to consider.

BTW: those are called marker lights because they mark the "corners."

Hey Vickie. I bought the Scamp from Jeff here in town and he mentioned you and had great things to say...I hope to meet you some time as well. Thanks for the lead on AC Nelson. I'll have to check 'em out.

Thanks Donna for the tip on O...O...O...Reily's!
