i was pulling my scamp today through a rainstorm found out the the running lights stay on when i turned the tow vehicle lights off it is parked in my drivway with lights on

Hi ....
Sounds like the wire that supplies the 12VDC to the trailer from the
tow vehicle is shorting to the wire that sends juice to the running lights
of the trailer. This would allow the trailer battery light the running lights.
I would start with the plug that plugs into the trailer by the hitch when
troubleshooting this.

BTW, disconnect the trailer battery until you get the problem solved.

Hi there, I had a similar issue. No dc power in the camper, but one front side lamp would stay on. I changed the fuse and found a wire on the pump had come loose. Once connected back up everything was fine.......check the dc wiring and fuses.....
I don't know much about scamps, I've always had pop ups and just recently purchased a '78 scamp and finding things need replaced....ha....
