Hello,

We just bought a 1982 13' Burro. We have a 4 1/2 year old and a 2 year old that will need to sleep in the front bunks. Our 4 1/2 year old is pretty scared of sleeping in the top bunk. I don't blame her! I'm trying to come up with a design for a safety bar for her. Any ideas? I was hoping to use a pressure mounted shower curtain rod but the maximum length of a rod at Home Depot is 72" and the front bunk length is 75". I can't be the only one to face this problem. My wife is sewing a nifty safety "net" that will span the support bars on the bottom bunk for our 2 year old. When she completes it I'll try to post some photos.

Any ideas or photos of a safety bar set up for the top bunk would really be helpful. Thanks!!

No problemo Rob.

BTW, I searched using +bunk +rail*

remember, search words must contain at least four characters (wild card * counts as a character)

I use one of these on the top bunk. I just put two button hole type openings in the fabric and the rail "arms" slip in between the foam and the wood. Have been using it for three years, my boys are now 7.3. Works like a charm and was very affordable. Think I got it at "Babies r us"
