Wow! What a project you accomplished! Our door fits well on the top and sides, there is just a gap between the floor and the inside of the door. The door is stripped to the
fiberglass and we need to redo that and I guess we’ll address the gap then. I see what you’re saying about the floor, someone repaired it and I don’t know why. I will look more closely for any stress cracks, but I haven’t noticed any yet.
I didn’t realize the low bench also provided support, but I think our bathroom wall on the kitchen side will provide support and then we will be putting a closet on the other side of the front next to the bathroom next to the door. We should be able to lift the roof and fit our wall tightly in for support. We still have the tall closet on the dining side of the door as well.
We live in Wind Gap PA.
What’s the screen door mod?
Thanks thrifty Bill, I’ve been wondering why the cabinet supports were not there if everyone was saying they were necessary!
Thanks,
Emily
