Scamp parts - First tow

As long time tent campers, a year ago we began contemplating moving up to a small camper. This forum has been fantastic with answers to our many questions, as well as learning from answers to questions posted by others. With your help we've decided on a Scamp 13 which is now incubating in Backus and will be picked up in a few weeks.

I've noted a number of comments about the shipping cost associated with parts ordered from Scamp and am wondering what items make sense to pick up as spares while we are there. I'm thinking a set of wheel bearings. What else might be appropriate?

Thanks also to your advice freely shared, we're feeling well prepared for this first tow to bring her back to Vermont. I'm sure we will have much more to learn, but we feel like have the basics down. We're excited about this first adventure.

If they are putting the foam type of door seal on the inside of the door ask them for the much better heavy rubber door seal they keep top secret ;-)

A package of spare caps, rings and rivets of various sizes that they use.

Pretty well most of the items they use to build there trailers can be purchased at any RV supply shop.

Good advice Carol. I'll definitely ask them about the door seal. Many thanks.

I asked for the better door seal after the Scamp was home and they mailed it to me for free. Not sure why they don't put it on at the factory.
