Screwy question

I need to tighten the screws that hold the lower door hinge to the trailer body but don't know the procedure for accessing the nuts in the cavity next to the AC. Will I need to remove the AC and if so, how is that done?

I have owned two 16 footers ... but can't remember the exact hinge arrangement, Craig.

The floor of the closet in the front a/c pops out ... just get something under it (like an right angle allen wrench) and pull it up.

If you can't reach the nuts then, I also know that you can remove the wooded trim panel around the a/c by popping off the snap caps and unscrewing them (this is the first step to removing the a/c

If you do that, can you reach a socket down to the nuts?

Thank you Charles

You are correct. The closet floor lifts out. After removing the floor, I discovered that the nuts in question are not as far forward as first thought, but were hidden by the carpet to the right of the door. I appreciate the info about the closet floor. It needed a good cleaning in there anyway.

Glad you found them Craig!

I thought the hinge nuts were in front of the a/c ... but couldn't quite remember!

Oh well, now you know how to access the a/c compartment anyway!
