Sewer hose coupler-need help

I have a sewer hose coupler I need to hookup to my sewer hose.
Any tricks on doing this?
I for the life of me can't get it on the hose.

Kevin, You might want to try a little dish soap on the coupler, that should help the hose to go over it.

I had one of those, and it was a pain. it has been replaced with a threaded coupler that simply screws over the end of the hose.

I got it on by twisting it, as I slide it on.

I vote for that type as well! Although the threaded couplers always seem to be hard to get the hose on .... the hose will find a way to slid off at the worst time possible.

LOL Kevin being cheap can come back to bit you and when dealing with raw sewage that may not be a good thing! Dont ask me how I know that you should seriously consider purchasing some large hose clamps to add some extra security to the one you purchased - they IMHO are worth the extra pennies! :-)))))

lick the end of the hose to get it slippery.
might even warm it with a hairdrier too.
then twist and push and wiggle till it slides on.

oh wait,,,,this is a new hose right?
