SillyCone alternative

The alternative to using silicone on Fiberglass is:
Dicor Lap Sealant 501 LSW

Dicor Self-Leveling Lap Sealant - White - Dicor 501LSW-1 - Roof Maintenance & Repair - Camping World

Yes, they use it on rubber roofs however it also works great in all applications on a fiberglass RV.

I believe Dicor is mentioned over in the big sealant thread: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ing-24715.html. If I remember correctly Dicor is designed only for horizontal surfaces.

Personally I prefer 3M 4000UV. http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawe...6EVs6E666666-- or Amazon.com: 3M Marine 4000 UV Adhesive/Sealant Fast Cure (White, 1/10 Gallon): Industrial & Scientific It is available in black and white. Designed for marine environments, it seems to last plenty long.

3M 4000UV provides some adhesive characteristics, but can be removed. If you are certain you never want to move or remove something go for the 3M 5200.Amazon.com: 3M Marine 5200 Adhesive Sealant, White, 1 oz: Automotive

The Dicor is self leveling and does work well.
