Thank you. We bought the battery monitor and it’s been reading 13.7 while plugged into our daughter’s house.
No problem running the air during the heat wave.
Thank you for your help.
Now we know that we have to plug in every few days.

It’s whatever battery a 2018 comes with.
We now know that we have to either plug in while our Casita is resting in our driveway, or unhook the battery.
It’s been a bit of a learning curve for us.

The nature of flooded cell batteries is they will discharge completely disconnected, it just takes a bit longer.

I understand the learning curve you mentioned. My wife and I will be picking up our Casita SD this October. This is our first trailer and we have zero experience. Learning curves up ahead!

Question about plugging in at home for keeping battery charged - do you need to have a 30 amp receptacle installed near the trailer or is there an adapter to plug into a standard 3 prong outlet that most homes have on an exterior wall

Yes they sell a 30 amp to 15 amp adaptor , cost around $5
When we picked up our new Casita at the factory one was included with the accessory package

that style which is a solid block with the plug and socket, I would use with a heavy duty outdoor 15A extension cord, rather than plugging directly into a 120V outlet and plugging a 30A cord into it, because the 30A cord is big and bulky and will put a lot of weight on the relatively small 15A outlet.

Those little adapters are very handy. If you are concerned about the weight of the cord, get a dogbone style like this:

My trailer is always plugged into one of these whenever we are home.

The other way is to use a heavy home extension cord and adapt at the trailer plug with a twist-loc adapter. Like this:

Put the adapter at the trailer end. You don't even need a heavy extension cord if all you run in the trailer are things like battery charger, lights, fan, and the occasional water pump. Just don't use AC, microwave, electric water heater, or similar high current items. Common sense is always good.
