Celeste, I soda blasted my 1980 Burro
aluminum window frames. They were badly pitted and cruddy, and the blaster cleaned them up really nicely without damage. They look nearly good as new, really.
I'm not sure to what extent you're familiar with the whole setup, so just noting that you do need to have an air compressor to hook up to. I get by blasting medium (ie coarse baking soda) at Harbor Freight - they have a couple of levels of coarsensess.
