solar panel on Uhaul 13 CT

Does anyone know if the solar panel on the 13Ct is an intrical part of the roof? I seem to have a leak beneath the panel and would just assume take it off since it doesn't work anyhow. It appears that there are 6 mounting bolts (?) on the inside of the shell that hold it on. I don't want to remove it if it disrupts the integrity of the roof. Any one with good ideas?

I don't think removing it will compromise the roof, but you will have to contend with six rather large holes.
