Solutions for Engel ac/dc fridge?

We bought a dual voltage 40 qt. fridge from My12VoltStore at the end of May last year based on stellar reviews all over the internet. We only used it a few times last summer, but when I started getting our Scamp ready this week for the first trip of this season, it wouldn't cool down. It makes a low rumbling sound as though the compressor is working, but no change from ambient temperature. Since it has a year's warranty, I have contacted both Engel and My12VoltStore several times this week, but no one will return my call.

Does anyone have solutions either to the cooling problem or getting the mfr's attention? $730 for one short season's use seems a little extreme!

Jeff, I would make all future attempts to contact both parties by email or snail mail so a "paper trail" exists for proof of dates and what was said. I would also contact Paypal, Credit card company used, Amazon, or Ebay or whoever you had went through to purchase from the 12 volt company. Best of luck and let us know how things turn out.

I don't know how you tried to contact them but here is the website page from Engel USA which has a phone number as described for "urgent issues". There is also a live chat option which of course will be limited for use during their regular USA business hours.
