Spare tire cover

Does anyone know who makes a spare tire cover that does not crack in cold weather ? All the ones I see on the internet talk about their UV resistance but nothing about being cold weather resistant .My Casita tire cover is only one year old and has allready developed cracks in the vinyl from below zero weather

We removed the tire cover upon delivery and installed a hub cap and trim ring. In deference to The manufacturer we added the logo onto the shell above the tire.
What protection was afforded by a cover is offset by its retention of water and the accumulation of mud, rust, and debris along with discoloration, rot, and deterioration.

I gave a custom one to my husband made by Threads to Threads. It has lasted like 3 years now. It is getting a bit ragged on the bottom from occasionally being too low and dragging, but it still looks good and still works. www.Threads-To-Treads.com

I'd check with an auto salvage yard, might get lucky and find a hard cover cheap. New ones start at about $100+, but they're also on ebay. Something in a breathable fabric that also blocks UV would work too. Check with an upholstery shop, shouldn't be too expensive to have them sew one up. I found a large shop fairly close by that allows their employees to use company equipment for "side jobs", had a cover made for my custom motorcycle seat, only cost me $35.

The cover that was on my spare when I got it was so aged that I had to cut it off. Haven't decided yet on a final color/graphics scheme for the Scamp, so I just bought a cheap one from Amazon, if it lasts until next spring I'll be happy.

My tire cover was brittle and fell apart when I took it off. ( just bought a new to me Trillium) I'm going to have a guy who does boat tops to make me one. He made me a big bag to carry my portable BBQ in and it is a colour match for my trailer.

A year or so ago I bought a Smittybuilt brand spare tire cover. It turned out to be of much better quality than those sold in RV supply stores. I believe it is made from nylon rather than vinyl. It feels like a backpack. I applied 303 fabric protestant when it was new. It still looks new. As far as cold weather goes I'm not sure. It has been out in 25 degrees but not extensively.

Tom from TrilliumRV reproduced a bunch for us last year. He may still have a few left in the Trillium Green for 13" tires. He also had some of the decals and stripes and propane tank covers available.

It would be best to call him @ the # provided on the form. He also tries to make it to the Ontario bolerama every summer.

I am having one made and a new bag for my Awning. Both in green. I'll let you know how they turn out. I'll post pics on my Trillium thread.

Has anyone tried one of these covers? I've saved this bookmark for a long time, but have no experience with them. Quite a selection.
