Spare tire mount

I would love to mount my spare on the back of my '73 Boler. Any ideas? Thanks

My Trillium has a bracket made up from two pieces of angle iron welded to form an inverted V, and and three long carriage bolts tack welded on for attaching the wheel. This bolts up to the frame. It's fairly rusty so I may get another one made up.

Our '73 Boler's spare is bolted through the back wall, just like Borden's. The tire's basic weight rides on the rear bumper; but, it's supported vertically with the two arms of a 3/8th in. 'u-bolt' through the FG wall. Been that way for 43 years ! YMMV

Our 13' Scamp mounted the spare on threaded rod through the back wall, but the wall is reinforced with plywood that is fiberglassed in to add structural support to the back wall for this purpose, then the "rat fur" or "elephant hide" covers it all, and it supports the table mounting hardware also.

This is how ours is, as well.

We have a nice spare tire mount welded to the center back of the rear bumper. It's nice having the spare back there. But it came to us that way.

Lousy photoshopped photo showing placement, general shape, and now, color. It was black. Now it's white with 2-part industrial epoxy paint from Machinists, Inc.

Ideas

Our 81 Boler has the stock 2 bolt attachment that vibrates badly. We considered the three bolt Scamp bracket but decided to have a fabricator build a small bumper (we don't have one) and attach a discreet triangle support like a bike rack. There is a picture of a similar design in an old thread. When it is done I can share a picture and how well it works.
