Spare trailer tire mounted?

I was just wondering, where do most people have their spare trailer tire mounted, if mounted at all? If you don't have it mounted, where do you put it?

On my first Boler and it was mounted on the back with 3 bolts through the fiberglass, on my last Boler I made a custom tire mount/bike rack that bolted to the bumper and the 3 bolts in the fiberglass.

On my second Boler I left it off completely as I liked the look of it without the tire on the back and just carry the spare tire in the back of my tug.

Not an issue with the Scamp where it's built in. There are mounts that with a U-bolt clip onto the rear bumper of a trailer that can be mounted just about any where on the bumper. They are not expensive.

Too bad you're in CA, I have one in the cellar. Here's a link to Amazon offerings. I did not look at all their offerings but mine is taller than what's on the first page.

I had someone put a mount on my tongue. Here's a pic. It turns out it has an added advantage which is that when it disappears from view I'm almost at the hitch. (Propane normally sits center of the tongue but the tank is off right now.)

Yes, for sure, I'll let you know what we end up doing about the spare Alan.

I just stepped away for a minute and my husband just completely removed the rear window real quick to take a look at the window gasket, he said it was super easy to remove. The gasket seems to measure slightly larger that the Scamps. Not sure if the window gasket for the Scamp will work???

He's now into the door's gaskets, he's a quick worker.

Last I'd looked outside, he was rebuilding something for my brother. Now my brother has gone home and a friend is coming over so DH can make a couple of portable air conditioner like contraptions out of 5 gallon buckets for our friend. They saw these contraptions on You-Tube, maybe you've seen them too? Might be good for someone without A/C in their egg. I better get the BBQ going and make sure the wine and beer are chilled. LOL

Most commonly used for window gaskets is butyl tape. But I'm not familiar with what type of window is in your trailer.

I welded a crossmember on the rear frame and mount my tire under the rear of the Boler, here it is out of the way yet accessible.

I mounted mine under the tongue, because I have high road clearance and needed to increase tongue weight.
