Unhappy

Last Saturday, my Motorcycle Gang buddies and I got together to try to figure out why the Moon Hubcaps I bought off eBay didn't fit. After Dan managed to mangle one up with a rubber mallet, he said, "Well, you're not going far, anyway."

"Huh?" I said?

"You have a broken leaf spring."

The left side of the rear axle, the spring had snapped in two, close to where the 2nd leaf lays against the 1st.

I got it home (due to 2 axles) gingerly. On Sunday, a co-worker and I got the trailer up on blocks, and the axles and springs removed. Yesterday I went to 2 different trailer places and finally got the small (20" eye-to-eye) springs ordered (4 each), and paid for next day shipping from Phoenix. Went to pick them up, and 2 springs were missing their bushings!

The trailer place made it right, and at 5:00PM I picked them up, along with new U-bolts. Hopefully, I'll get them installed in time to leave Thursday night for Lake San Antonio...

Question: If you ordered the springs for the left and the trailer place made it right, how will you make them fit on the left, or is the left and right interchangeable? But, if you walk around to the rear and look at the trailer, the left becomes the right, and the right becomes the left...what...? Those trailer places have all the answers.

Heck, you drive a hard bargain, but you're hired.
