Hello All,
The rear lights on my CT13 has a place for two bulbs. One in the amber lens and the other in the red lens. Only the bulb in the red lens works. Has anyone figured out how to make the turn signals work in the amber lens, and the brake lights work in the red lens?

It will require extra wiring. If your tow vehicle has separate rear turn signals, not using the same wire as the stop lights, you'll have to tap into those wires. Note that the amber section of the lens uses a two filament bulb, but only one wire of that bulb socket is used. There may be a wiring converter available to do what you want, check on etrailer to see if there is.

This makes perfect sense. Although, what was the amber light for in the first place? Does yours light up for anything? Ours do not light for turns, brakes, or anything.

The amber was originally used for turn lights with Uhauls odd way of wiring. I installed all new light wiring because the original was deteriorating. I only use the red part of the lens. I also mounted a marker / stop / turn light bar above the rear window for extra visibility

if you really want the amber to work, you can get a converter that will separate out the turn signal from the brake light and marker light, it can be installed somewhere near the rear of the trailer. it does the opposite of the ones most people buy if their tug has orange signals/red brakes
