Three of the windows in our 1975 Trillium 1300 leak and have rotten wood. We plan on replacing the wood (and I already have all parts), but we would like to take one last fall trip in it next week. Is there something we can do as a temporary fix? Perhaps a good sealant that will easily remove later?
+1 on latex caulk, have not used brand suggested by it's the type I would choose.
If you have large poly tarp and some poles you might consider running tarp over whole camper. Saw that at Algonac rally and it looked very functional and solid.
Duct tape! As long as you don't leave it on for a loooong time. It will be leak free for a camping trip. (trust me, that CRAP will turn to concrete if left on too long). I'm talking 3-6 weeks in the HEAT!
Go camping, have a good time, make memories, THEN remove the duct tape from around the windows as soon as you can (like the day or two after you get back!)

I have had very good success using the aluminum tape normally used on heating ducts. You can leave it on as long as you like, and is easily removed years later without sticky residue.

In case anyone is curious, I called DAP, the manufacturer of Mono Ultra and asked what would be the US equivalent. Dynaflex 230 is the same product, but I couldn't find it at Lowes. The representative said the Alex Ultra 230 is the same but with an added anti-mildew.
We'll be slathering it on this weekend to head out of town next week!
