Thermocouple issue.

ok, so here it goes, I need a new thermocouple for a duo therm of unknown model. I've tried two separate "universal" fit ones, and neither fit.

I know you are going to ask what trailer, well, embarrassed to say its a stickie from '78, but I need to find a thermocouple that will fit this vintage furnace, and if any one can offer a suggestion, it's here.

Thank you for your help,

P.S. I am still looking for an egg.

It might help to know what doesn't fit. That is, is the thermocouple physically too large or is it a plug issue. Raz

will do my best with out pictures as I have mis placed the original thermocouple for the moment. It the threaded end that goes into the furnace, The threaded piece is much longer then the ones I have currently. Both new ones have adapters that are too long and won't a) thread in at all (white rodgers) or b) is just hair too large to fit properly (honeywell) and seal at the end, resulting in the adapting insert again being a hair too long, but just long enough to get a thread in.

Found the model number, its a 66017-005. Best I can do.

Thanks for the help, I tried looking there the other day but my connection was having a bad day. I managed to get one of the ones I bought by filing down the insert a bit, works like a charm now.
Once I get a new battery and solar charger, I'll have heat.
