I am carrying a heavy Arctic Fox camper on the bed of my 2007 Silverado 2500 pickup. The truck is equipped with 10 ply
tires and air helper springs. I have been told that for safety reasons I should always inflate my truck
tires to the maximum allowed when I am carrying the camper. The maximum recommended on the
tires themselves is 80 psi. The truck manufacturer recommends that the rear tires should be inflated to 80 psi and the front tires should be at 55 psi in normal use. I have been inflating both front and back tires to 80 psi when I am carrying the camper. Is this advisable?
