tire size

On a Scamp 16, what is the largest tire and rim that can be put on without making major changes? Thanks for any reply.

I couldn't tell you for sure either way, but there are soooo many variables in this.

What year? New or old axle? Ride height picture? factory lift installed?

I put 205/75R-14 on my scamp 16 ft, probably original axle (96), did radius the fiberglass especially on lower front curbside about 1/2 to 3/4 in to not have any issues with tire rub

I was looking at my S-16 the other day thinking about putting on 14's. I thought the curb side looked to be a little tighter fit than the drivers side.

if you measure from the belly band down to the same spot on both side you will see, the curb side is longer and curves under more than street side. 14's fit in my wheel openings except for front curbside. I just drilled out rivets for trim and radiused the openings a tad 1/2 to 3/4 inch I believe. re installed trim

I knew that on the S-13 the door flare made a difference around the wheel well but I did not realize it extended back that far on the S-16. What you did sounds like a plan.
Thanks Eddie

I actually found about the curbside lower body extending lower (and it goes almost to the middle of the scamp logo) was when I was trying to line up cutout for outside hatch cover.

I had to trim the curbside on my 19' when I put 225/75/15's on it, interesting.
