My 79 Surfside does not have a roof mounted air conditioner on it, but I would like to add one with a heat strip for fall and early winter camping. Anyone else tried that successfully? I would really like to have them install it soon, so let me know..ok?

I have seen roof top ac mods before on a trillium and i think the other was a boler or a scamp. in both cases the roof had to be reinforces to prevent the shell from bending down. the scamp boler used an external frame that ran from the rear bumper to the front
the trillium had an internal frame of metal
not sure how the surfside is put together but good luck post pictures
