We have a 1991 Isuzu Trooper and Scamp 16'. I have tried using strap-on mirrors to extend my current side mirrors, but they are affected by wind resistance and don't stay in place at normal highway speeds.

What recommendations do you have? It can be either a temporary mount or permanent mount, but needs to be a good quality that doesn't vibrate too much. I have done some checking here in Albuquerque but haven't settled on anything yet. If you have some good recommendations, where can I purchase them?

After doing some more searching on the web, I have found the CIPA #11650 side mount towing mirror and the McKesh mirror that look interesting. Both can be quickly mounted or dismounted. Except for price, they look very similar. The www.hensleymfg.com/mckeshmirrors.html web site implies that CIPA is a copy-cat mirror. Does anyone have experience with either of these mirrors and how would you compare them? Any other better choices?

I use a "custom" mirror that mounts on the factroy outside mirrors. I get a little viberation but not too bad. They're not about to come off.

Try here for those plus other options.

Mine are for my 98 Blazer.

Met a guy that had a set of extended mirrors on his pickup. I asked where he bought them? he told me U Haul and that the were very solid when going down the road the cost was around $40. Not having a U Haul in my town I haven't checked it out but it may be worth your time. Jerry
