We have a 2004 Nissan Murano and are trying to weigh our towing options. We would like to get a small travel trailer 16ft or so. The smaller ones like the new Outback built in Calgary are just a little too small! The Murano has a towing capability of 3500 lbs. and do a fair bit of driving in the mountains so don't want to be low on power. Has anyone gotten any feedback on the Escape built in Chilliwack BC?

Welcome to FiberglassRV Barb, we're glad you're here

The Escape, boy did you come to the right place! I'm a future Escape 5th wheel owner and I can tell you the fit and finish is first rate. We have several members who own the Escape trailers and are truly happy people

The owner of Escape Trailer Manufacturing is a member here at FiberglassRV and pops in occasionally to give us all updates on the doings....his name is Reace. Right now, I bet he's really, really busy building trailers/5th wheels for people who are anxiously waiting for camping season!

Sorry, can't answer your questions regarding towing options. But with 3,500 lbs limit there are a number of trailers that will fit your needs

Since Escape is one of the newest manufacturers of our type of trailer, there has been lots of discussion in this forum of the Escape products.

The Search tool (link near the top of the page) will yield lots of interesting topics with the search word "Escape". One of the most comprehensive about the Escape 17 would be Escape Trailer, Anybody Have One?.

3500 pounds is a very common towing limit for vehicles used to tow fiberglass travel trailers; many minvans including mine, for instance, have that limit.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.
