Trillium 1300 1980

Hi,
We just brought Trill home.Gonna need TLC in many ways,
Wanted to ask forum about our Trilliums suspension,It sags quite a bit on the right side. Leaf springs and axle look ok.
13 inch wheels seem small on this camper(lots of room in wheels wells) Would anyone suggest 14 inch rims?

Are you sure you have a Trillium? None of them ever had a leaf spring axle.
If it's sagging, there can't be any clearance since there wouldn't be anything extra for 14" wheels to fit. You should post pics.

Title sez 1980 trillium 1300. Lady we purchased it from said she we 2 owner since 1993 and PO installed longer rear bumper for box and AC in rear window. The ac unit in rear window was being held in with plywood 2x4 s ,30 tubes of silicon and caulk+foam,duct tape etc. It rains a lot in Florida and she was proud to show us it didn't leak inside and around AC. ( We would love to find whole used/ new rear window)
Interior is in great shape, Electric receptacles ,lamps work.2 burner gas stove,.PO installed microwave under sink and newer refridge. Cushions are all new foam and ok covers.
Wife is not impressed with this "old thing"...(after 32 yrs it's ok though)
My object is bring it back.

Should not have a leaf spring axle unless someone modified it. Original was the typical torsion axle you see on lots of small trailers.

With a little modification you can put 14" aluminum Ford Ranger wheels on it, I've put them on over 20 Trillium's and they look and work great. There's what is called the Deer Foot and Bullet pattern's I've got a junk yard that sells them to me at the cost of scrap aluminum around $12 each.......

Great info,Thanks. We've only had ours for 2 weeks.looking forward to bringing it back. Those rims would be nice .Would you happen to know if there are any rear windows available anywhere? Previous owner basically destroyed one bank on right rear window to install ac unit.

Yes, several followed Randy's advice and went with Ford Ranger wheels. I picked up a set of four off C/L for $50. I did have to swap out the hub studs, they were too short.

Finding a window for a 40 year old RV? Not likely. Find a window shop that can repair the one you have would be my advice.

get the measurements of the window, and search rv salvage, any oversize window can be made smaller. RV Dr George seems to have a large inventory

Is there a reason Torsion axles systems can't sag on one side?

Of course after purchasing.I researched the 1980 Trillium more ,only to find out that our suspension has been modified with ( I think) larger axle with brake , leafsprings,double shackles ….Trailer leans to right side quite a bit.I have pics but having pc / apple phone xfer issue.

Sounds like it is either heavy on one side, or has a weak spring. Leaf springs are easy to change.

Hello took your advice found 4 Ranger rims for 75$.
Came with bad tires and want to replace w/sST205/75/14 OR ST 205/80/14.
Do you know if they will fit these wide rims?

Tires I use on mine are Vanguard STR ST205/75R14, I find these brand new $40 each and bought 12, the guy sold me 12 for 37 each. Don't know where nghe got them he had several brand new tires of different sizes, I bought all the ones he had that fit....

I did have to change the studs as the original ones were too short for the Ranger wheels. I don't remember the length I bought.
