Does any know how the spare tire mounts to the back bumper? I bought my Trillium and the previous owner kept the spare inside with a bike carrier mounted to the spare tire bracket on the back. I guess what I really need is the mounting hardware? Any help would be appreciated...pictures would be fantastic.

Thanks,
Joe Loiacono

Joe,
My tire mount is 2 pieces of 2" angle iron 22" long welded at a 30 degree angle to each other. A 7" carriage bolt is welded into the Vee and 2 more a couple of inches down which creates a 3 point mount for the tire. Four bolts and 2 flat irons attach the angle irons to the rear face of the bumper. I'll see if I can take a pic tomorrow.
There are lots of after market mounts available.

Thanks Dave. I appreciate your help. Is your trailer a Trillium also?

Joe, attached is a pic of the spare mount on my 1978 Trillium 4500. It is also a bike carrier.

Thanks John, this picture really helps me. This is a great idea especially being able to secure bikes as well.

Thanks for making the effort for the picture.
