Trailer: Trillium 13 ft

Hi - I am new to the site. I just purchased a 1976 13' Trillium trailer and have been slowly brining all the appliances back on line. While I serviced the furnace I became concerned about what the gasket around the access panel and the thermocouple panel was made of - does anyone know if it is Asbestos? If so what do folks recommend?

Thanks
Don

I don't know either way. It is possible.

I recall working with asbestos in the late 70's daily. Put on the job, handled it with bare hands and no masks. Nobody ever said it was dangerous.

Now we know different. Scary.
