I'm in the process of trying to reinstall glass in my
Trillium door window frame.
A PO had put 3/4 " plywood in the frame to probably replace some broken glass.
I have remove the frame and the plywood, but need to know how to reglaze the window. The PO also bent the frame trying to get the plywood in and used a lot of silicone to try to seal it up. I still need to finish removing
paint, silicone, straightening, etc.
This picture is of the removed frame with the inner trim ring on top of the outer frame piece.
This how the frame looked from the outside of the door.
This is the outer frame track with the outside part facing up.
This is the outer frame with the outside part facing down.
Ihave found a place on line that sells radius glass. I'm pretty sure that the glass went in the small part of the track and was probably held in with some sort of rubber gasket. Is this correct? Has anyone ever had to replace their glass and would a local glass shop be able to help me out or is it something that I could do myself?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
