Trillum 1300 table leg

Does anyone know the proper height for a trillium 1300 table leg?
I bought a new table leg from lee valley but it's too long and the old table leg wasn't right either. The table doesn't sit level and I was wondering how long the leg should be. Or how I figure out this measurement. I'm not super handy with this kind of stuff.

You are welcome to take a look at my Trilliums for reference. It would probably depend on whether you have the drawer in the table, or not. I have examples of both.

Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake lol. It's an adjustable legs so if I cut off about 2 inches I can adjust it to the right height afterwards. Duh!

I do have another question about the table. Are the lower brackets that the table rail sit in closed around the rail or open? Our table is completely removable. Is this how it was originally or has someone pried open the lower brackets?

It should be completely removable, but one of my trailers required me to pry open the retainer clips for the rod that swivels between table height, and bed height. The PO must have thought differently.
