I tried searching for info I know I've seen, but could not find it because the search engine won't look for TV..

Anyway, its too late for tonight, but I want some kind of TV for the trailer. It could be a stand-alone small LCD TV or it could be a TV tuner (such as Eye TV hybrid) for my Mac.

Any direct experiences with either? Or other Mac tuners? I don't need a DVD player as I can use the Mac for that, and only one person needs to be able to watch it at once.

I have several different EyeTv's that I have used in the eggs.
I have also used the Miglia devices with equal success.

I have used them on as slow a Mac as a 500mhz iBook and it works fine.
They work well if you can get a decent signal to tune. This is the same problem you may have with any TV while camping.
They work very well with cable or Sat which give a consistant strong signal.

I would suggest getting one with a remote control,it is a lot easier than using the touchpad or mouse.
I also suggest one with a second input for a source you do not even have yet, like a HDTV decoder box which you need in a few years.

That said,I also have used LCD TV's and they can work fine too.
It really comes down to what you are trying to do and what space you want to give it.
The EyeTv devices also have Tivo features which can be nice and they can be a lot less expensive than an LCD TV if you already have the computer.

I have also used several different PC tuner cards with equal success but also the normal Windows problems.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

Ed

I know this is an older post but maybe this wasn't around last year.
I found it at our local Fleet Farm; Made by GPX; am/fm/hdtv; audio/video ports (2 sets); screen folds up/down & pivots; Cost $200.00
