How are other people solving the rain dripping through the door weather seal problem?







Here I have a temporary plastic sheet acting as a drip cap. It works and it is easy. Are there more elegant ways?

sounds like you need a new door gasket. they get old and don't seal too well up top.I used this on my VT

25' is enough for two doors so if you have some left over you can sell or give it to someone in need. Kevin A got my leftovers.

We have window leakage problems, and until we overhaul them we are using a canopy over the trailer. Camping World sells a flexible RV gutter that sticks on. I have put it above all the windows and it helps with water that runs off the top of the trailer. Our door doesn't leak. Bob

I think I know what he's talking about...ours doesnt leak either but when you open the door it's setting there waiting to fall on you above the seal, kinda gathers there at times. lands riht at your feet as you open ...I think a stick on type gutter seal or something across the top would fix it.
I have the brackets made to put our awning on this year and its above the door so maybe that'll stop most of it........I think

I put an extra piece of self stick foam about 1 " wide above the door gasket seems to alleviate most of it, any way here is the link to rubber track for rebuilding the windows he will need that.Weatherstrip-Trims, All Rubber Glass Run Channels with Flocked Lining
unless the other gasket which holds the window in the door is toast you should be able to reuse it. it is a different style than the one that holds in the emergency window on the VT as it does not use a locking spline, the edges lock into each other. Don't know about CTs as I have never seen one in person.

My current solution is working really well for my door. No wet surprises!

I've replaced the weather stripping and it works for air and creatures but some water always made its way in until now.

Above the windows, I will try the EZE gutter and/or J cap from the hardware store.
